Denise Chen, a junior at Claremont High in California, won the girls varsity extra large school race at the 43rd ASICS Clovis Invitational by covering the 5-kilometer course in 18:13.3 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Chen helped Claremont finish fourth overall with 235 points.
